From Our Family To Yours

December 22, 2016

Some years ago our Yittle was fascinated with the voice recorder on my iPhone and as the story goes…

She was 3-1/2 years old at the time and constantly playing with the voice recorder App on my iPhone. I was blow drying my hair and singing/humming the “Christmas Song” (amongst the glorious bathroom tile) when she came in playing around with the recorder App on the phone. She likes it when I sing that song so she asked me to sing it into the phone. So, I snuggled her up in my lap on the floor and we made this recording. As soon as I finished she gave me a peck on the cheek and ran away with the phone. Hahaha! Now anytime I hear this song I always think of that day and it makes my heart smile. Thanks to my thoughtful husband (who turned it into this Christmas card) we’ve been able to share it over the years — I hope you enjoy it.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

Hi Kalebra! I’m always happy to see/hear your rendition of this song, whether it’s here on your blog or if Scott posts it on his. I’ve sort of made it a tradition to play it every year for someone that has never heard it before. Please make it a tradition to post this each year here on your blog for everyone to hear (as you know there will be new people here next year).

This Christmas is a bit bittersweet for me, as I have a new grandson (Gah! I’m a GRANDFATHER!), but we had to see my Mom go into the hospital after another fall (she’s 96 years young). But things will work out for the best…I always look for the bright side! 🙂

I hope you, Scott, Jordan and Yittle have a most magical Christmas, full of good food, great friends and many laughs!

It’s become a tradition for it to be somewhere so why not here too John–great idea! Hahaha! Congratulations on your grandson!! Whee! And in time for Christmas. 😃

I will keep your mom in my prayers.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a blessed New Year!
