Certainly didn’t think a stadium shot would be one of my first iPhone7plus pics

October 7, 2016

But I’m so happy it was because it meant that I was (almost in the clouds) spending a gorgeous day with my awesome son and my beautiful sister last weekend. This was about 40 minutes before the game started and just enough time for me to catch my breath from “the climb.” Hahaha!

Happy to have escaped Hurricane Matthew’s wrath this weekend and praying for those who didn’t.
He will soon be a memory — the sun always comes out again in Florida. I like that about Florida. 🙂

Scott couldn’t have done better with his D-somethings! What an incredible shot!! Bravo for having a new camera in your artist’s kit. Oh, and I guess you can use it to make telephone calls too! Thanks for setting my mind at ease during this horrific hurricane emergency. Praying for all my Florida friends and those I don’t know but who are in harm’s way. Having time with your son and sister beats battling out a storm any day.

Hahaha! Thank you Carolyn and it was a day well spent for sure. 🙂 Thank you for your prayers for those affected — I know they are appreciated.

Very cool photo, Kalebra. I like panoramas almost as much as black and whites. Good shooting with the new iPhone! I’m looking forward to many new pictures.

P.S. I finally received a notification in my e-mail about a new blog post of yours! Looks like you got this down! LOL

I like panos too John and I’m grateful that the iPhone is so stable because I am not a patient pano person. Hahaha! I’m sure I do it much faster than is recommended. 😉 And, I’m excited that the notifications went out! Even though I’m enjoying the frustrating process of learning something new it is nice to see it come together. Lol!

Glad to hear that you and yours are ok. Do I need an iPhone 7? I’ve only had my 6 for 11 months and i’m just getting used to it.

Thank you Clinton. I’m happy to report we’re all okay. As for the question of “do you need an iPhone 7plus?” Oh boy. Well, you probably don’t need it but if you saw the image quality, video stabilization and quality for yourself you’d probably think you needed one. Hahaha! And I have to tell you that I used the one time zoom to take some shots from where I was sitting in that stadium (just to see what the image quality would be) and then pinch zoomed to see how it would hold up and I was blown away! I can’t believe you can now get that with a phone and once the DOF is added…I don’t know. It’s not pro gear like you have but when you’re not carrying that around why not be armed with the best you can have just in case you run into something unexpected you want to shoot, right? 😉

I am at the point of using my iPhone in place of my dslr for a lot of my day to day shots. There is a juried show I enter every year and so far have been fortunate enough to have my photos selected for the show. This year one of the photos I am submitting is an iPhone photo of a chameleon in Hawaii. There is no way to tell it apart from a high end camera shot. Fingers crossed but no matter it made a very nice print. IPhone7 would be even better. I will check out Terry White’s always excellent reviews of this sort of stuff. In the mean time stay cool and have fun. watch out for the gators at high tide.

Terry White will surely steer you right and I don’t bother the gators and they don’t bother me. 😉
